Other than not meeting the new sleek design standards of 2018, outdated websites seem to be missing a few key details that make most websites successful.
The first mistake outdated websites make is not building their email list with email marketing software such as MailChimp or constant contact. This seriously impedes the businesses ability to profit from their website visitors after they left their website.
Another common mistake outdated websites seem to have is a serious lack of graphics and informationally appealing visuals. These “infographics” are ideal for demonstrating your products or services most valuable features without the reader getting bored and disengaged from reading long static paragraphs.
Outdated websites are missing the presentation aspect of a website. The information and basic photography on outdated websites make the website functional and practical, but not dynamic and eye drawing. You must remember that there are millions of websites being published every month and if you want to make yours stand out, then you cannot rely on minimum text and photography to build a successful website.
Do not make the same mistakes as websites did 10 years ago. Website standards have evolved and improved since then. There is no reason to sacrifice potential customers due to this common outdated website mistakes.
