The age of technology is here there is no doubt about it. Today more than ever people are basing their purchasing decisions from online resources. These online resources can be review videos, forums, direct message recommendations, but the big one is product and service reviews.

Let’s take a look at an Amazon example.

Think about your typical Amazon customer. Most Amazon customers like to look at a product’s five-star rating before making a commitment to buy. The more savvy Amazon customers look at a products five-star rating, then look in depth at the reviews left by previous customers. This gives them a more accurate representation of the product’s strengths and weaknesses. This process will give you clear expectations and confidence for whatever it is that your buying.

If your business has poor online reviews and you think you are not losing sales, then you’re wrong

People trust other customers who have been in a similar situation before. If you are in need of glass repair in Sacramento California, you would most likely Google “Glass repair near me”. Out of all the results as a consumer, I would choose the most rated and most reviewed company. I would read the reviews left by previous customers and make sure that the majority had positive experiences. In this situation, I trust the reviews of other customers because they have been in a similar situation in which I am in now. If everything checks out, I would then contact the glass company.

What I am trying to say is, I will choose the business with the highest reviews. This is how most people shop online, whether it be a product or service. Without good reviews, you’re likely losing a large chunk of business.

Stop stop losing business due to poor reviews

You are most likely losing thousands, tens of thousands, or potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars every year from poor reviews. This all depends on how scaled your businesses, but poor reviews will hurt your bottom line. all of the customers who were thinking about doing business with you will go to your competitor who has a much better standing in terms of their online reputation.

Do not be the one star bandit. Make your business a five star hero so you can pick up all the local action.

It is up to you to ask customers and clients for reviews. They will likely not review you unless you ask them. I made a previous post on how you can ask clients for reviews here.
Once once your business has the most genuine five-star reviews, you will see an uptick in sales. Being the best reviewed business around is a long-term asset for your brand and credibility for years to come.
