So you’re looking for more 5-star Google reviews? This may be for a number of reasons. Perhaps you want to surpass your competition’s review numbers. Perhaps you are new to Google my business and need to be reviewed in order to gain traction on Google local SEO indexing. Whatever the reason may be, additional reviews are almost always beneficial for your business.

Gain gain more Google reviews using the email two-button approach

This method of collecting Google reviews is as follows. Build an email list of previous customers you’ve had. Create an email template that asks that client for a review. At the end of the template, you can include two buttons, or simply two links. The first link should say “if you had a good experience with our products or services click here”. The next button should say “I was not satisfied with my experience”.

In this scenario, if the previous customer clicks the first button which states that they were satisfied with your products or services then they will be taken to the review platform. If the previous customer selects the second option, which states that they did not have a good experience with your business then they will be taken to a contact form on your website where you will receive the negative feedback privately.

This way you only cultivate positive reviews for your business.

The second and highest converting way to gain positive reviews is to ask for them in person

There are far too many businesses that do not train their employees on asking customers to leave a review. The higher ticket the service and product are the more important it is to ask for a review. Naturally, customers want to review low ticket social places like restaurants and fast food establishments. However, customers do not usually leave reviews for home services, medical or legal services, or other high ticket services unless you have them a reason to. This is where it becomes crucial to ask for reviews immediately after you have provided your customers with your service.

You can ask for reviews in person using QR codes for convenience

Did you know you can create a QR code that links people straight to your Google review window? Most modern smartphones have QR code readers built in on their native camera application. This makes it extremely convenient to use QR codes in person. I will make another post about the benefits of using QR codes but it mainly comes down to relaying information in a time efficient manner.
